Loving the Garden

After a hot and cruel Summer, that garden still  looks amazing. Students from The Child School and the Beacon Summer Camp made their first harvest, bok choy, collard greens, basil and string beans. Our 9 ft tall Mammoth Sunflowers heads got so heavy that they slumped over, the base of the stems resemble small trees. Unfortunately, the fat and happy squirrels got the best of the corn, and we planted massive amounts of it!

Later in the week,  we got the thumbs up from some very prestigious gardeners visiting from Delaware. Just like the gardeners, a small ring of mushrooms popped up on the grass beside the garden, that was magical!
